Bruce Crayon Putney, 71 years of age, Born on January 1, 1952 born to Coretta (Johnson) Gant and Father Samuel W. Putney in Houston, Texas transitioned from this life on June 29, 2023 at in Harris County, Texas.

Receiving public school education in Houston and alumni of Jack Yates High School Class Of 1970. Soon after he attended Texas Southern University earning a Bachelors & Masters in Education. In his time spent in Education throughout his adult life he enjoyed teaching students and preparing them for life.

Preceded In Death By his Mother; Coretta (Johnson) Gant; Father Samuel W. Putney.  Paternal Grandparents, Maternal Grandparents, Sister(s); Erma Jean Putney and Katherine Gant, Brother; Keith Gant. Those Left to Cherish his Memories are Jeffery Harris, Sr., Jeffery Harris, Jr., and Caleb Gant. A host of classmates, colleagues, and dear friends.
