Demetrius James Joseph

March 4, 1973 — September 22, 2025

Houston, Texas

Demetrius James Joseph graced this earth with his presence on March 4, 1973, in Houston, Texas, to Larry and Barbara Joseph.

Demetrius, affectionately known as DeeDee, was the older of two boys. He attended Sterling High School, followed by Texas Southern University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology - Drafting and Design.

DeeDee was a dedicated educator for several school districts, including Houston ISD, Alvin ISD, and Pasadena ISD. Screen acting and modeling were always his passions. DeeDee’s legacy will include his ability to bring every character he played to life. His debut film was Black Cowboy, where he portrayed an outlaw posse member. DeeDee’s film credits would include roles in more than 20 movies and television shows. Though the curtain has closed on his earthly performance, the memory of his artistry will live on forever.

Beyond the spotlight, DeeDee was also known as a fitness and wellness enthusiast. Health and wellness were not just hobbies but a way of life. Whether it was weight training or encouraging others on their fitness journey, DeeDee inspired many with his dedication.

Although DeeDee was from Houston, his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was the biggest Cowboys fan ever and wore that badge of honor proudly despite growing up with a dad who rooted for the Oilers and later the Texans.

Though his time with us was far too short, DeeDee left behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in our hearts, and his spirit will guide us always.

He departed this earthly life on Monday, September 22, 2025. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Narry and Beatrice Noel, and by his paternal grandparents, Adrian and Edna Joseph.

He is survived by his beloved children, Dylan, Dorian, and Aubree Joseph; his parents, Larry and Barbara Joseph; his brother Adrian (Caroline) Joseph; his nieces Alexis and Jasmine Joseph; his goddaughter Jayla St. Julien, and a host of relatives and friends.

DeeDee’s presence and his passion for life, acting, modeling, and family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and he will never be forgotten. He is now starring on the biggest stage in heaven.
