September 11, 1955 – March 27, 2026
Edward “Ed” Francis Griffin, 70, of Cypress, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering positivity.
Ed was born on September 11, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan. From an early age, he carried a spirit that would define his life—one that welcomed everyone and made strangers feel like lifelong friends. He truly never met a stranger, and his genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
A devoted father and proud grandfather, Ed’s greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Travis, Andrew (wife Laila), and Bradley (wife Claudia). His grandchildren—Benjamin, Abigail, Danielle, and Charles—were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Ed is also survived by his sister, PJ Sandefur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Charles Griffin and Joan Charlotte Griffin.
Ed had a deep love for sports, especially cheering on the Houston Astros. Whether watching a game or sharing stories, he brought enthusiasm and joy to the moments that mattered most. His positive outlook on life and easygoing nature made him someone people were naturally drawn to.
Above all, Ed will be remembered for his kind heart, his welcoming spirit, and the love he gave so freely. His presence made life brighter, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
