Frank McClendon

On June 22, 1960, a baby boy was born to Tommy and Lucille McClendon, they lovingly named him Frank McClendon. He was one of ten children.

Frank graduated from Coldspring High School in 1979. He received his certification in diesel mechanic. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savor at an early age, he joined New Hope Baptist Church and later joined Covenant Glen United Methodist Church, Rosharon, Texas.

Frank loved grilling, fishing, hunting and was a world traveler. He loved music and was a sports fanatic. He also like entertaining and cooking.

Frank was a diesel mechanic for over forty years and he also supported the military as mechanic in Iran and Afghanistan for over ten years.

Frank made his final transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on August 28, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Lucille McClendon; fiancee, Sandra Marie Jones and his brother, Laurence Ray McClendon. He leaves to mourn, his son, Frank Holland-McClendon; siblings, Johnnie McClendon, Lyther Walker (John), Sadie Love, Tommie Cooper, Doris O’Neal, Jeff McClendon, Joyce Turner (Cephus), Bob McClendon (Paula), and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

“The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want, he maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul, he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name sake. Yea though I wak through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me; Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest thy head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
