Georgia L.
Dancy
Aug 2, 1955 — Aug 3, 2026
Richmond, Texas
Pastor Georgia L. Dancy
Pastor Georgia was a radiant light in the lives she touched, serving with grace and dedication as Pastor of Fellowship and Administration at Good Seed Ministries and as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Her heart was set on nurturing others—whether through teaching, guiding the Journey Kids, overseeing baptisms, leading Lil Sistah’s, mentoring, or coordinating outreach for the Chicago Angels baseball program. Before answering her divine calling to full-time ministry, Georgia was a bank examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department, where she made the profound decision to retire early and wholeheartedly pursue her purpose in God.
Every day, Georgia was propelled by her deep love for God and her unwavering passion for people. She lived intentionally, driven by a desire to honor her faith and serve others. Georgia's favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, served as her compass, guiding her steps and grounding her in the Lord's promises.
Her devotion extended far beyond her immediate community, as Georgia provided vital support to eight ministries within the Good Seed Ministries organizational structure. A proud member of Lakewood Church under the leadership of Pastor Joel and Co-Pastor Victoria Osteen, she was also a proud alumna of DePaul University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, equipping herself with the skills to make a difference. Though she had no children of her own, Georgia’s heart was big enough to embrace everyone she met.
She lived a life of quiet dignity, resilience, and unwavering faith. Her passing creates a profound void, one that will be deeply felt by all who were blessed to know her. Those who grieve her loss carry with them an enduring appreciation for the love, wisdom, and inspiration Georgia brought into their lives. Her memory will forever be etched in their hearts, a lasting reminder of the beautiful legacy she created.
As family and friends navigate the waves of mourning, her life was a cherished story, a tapestry woven with threads of love and compassion; we gather to celebrate Georgia’s remarkable life. May her spirit continue to bring comfort and strength in the days ahead, bless all who hold her memory close, and shine as a guiding light in their hearts forever.
