Janie Allene Warner

November 15th, 1961 - September 25th, 2024

Janie Allene Warner, beloved wife to Timothy Warner, mother to two sons, Timothy II [39] of Houston, Tx and Anthony [31] of Lubbock, Tx, sister of Janice Hammer, Mark Copeland, Donna Skipper (preceded in passing), Richard Leonard (preceded in passing), Donald Leonard (preceded in passing), passed away on September 25th, 2024. leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Janie was born in Odessa, Tx in 1961 to Jim Copeland and Jean Copeland (who preceded her in passing). She spent her childhood in Abilene and lived in multiple cities across the state of Texas before settling in Houston.

In 1982, she met Tim Warner, her future husband after he flew to Texas from England after they first made contact through a "Pen Pal" program. They hit it off, and the following Christmas Janie visited Tim in England. In February of 1983, Tim moved to Houston to pursue a life with her and they were married March, 5th 1983. Shortly after marriage, they welcomed their first son Timothy John Warner II into the world on October 13th, 1985. On November 10, 1992 they had their second son Anthony James Warner. While her children were important to her, she had many "children" as she worked in early childcare development starting at Christ Lutheran Church in East Houston and finishing her career at Crosby Christian Academy. Her work was very important to her and kept in contact with many of her students she impacted.

Janie was a music enthusiast, with some of her favorites being Bon Jovi, Def Leapord, Keith Urban and Cheap Trick. Janie and Tim were always on the go attending concerts all over and visiting "monuments of music" such as the Grand Ole Opry, Graceland and the Ryman Auditorium. She enjoyed going to Galveston with her family on the weekend, visiting the strand and the beach. She had plenty of friends but she also had quite a few with 4 legs. She loved her canine companions, especially Ben and Buddy. The holidays were very important to Janie and she would go all out every year with decorations and projects/parties for her students.
