With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Though he left this world far too soon, he leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, music, and love.

Above all else, he loved being a dad. His son was the center of his world, and some of his happiest moments were the simple adventures they shared together—days at the water park, monster truck shows, and making memories wherever life took them. He also cherished the opportunity to help raise his three bonus children, who brought him so much joy and whom he loved as his own.

Those who knew him knew there was rarely a serious moment. He had a quick wit, an infectious smile, and a sarcastic remark ready for any occasion. He lived life on his own terms, finding any excuse to get out and experience life.

He was fiercely loyal—to his family, his friends, and the things he loved. That loyalty was perhaps best reflected in his lifelong devotion to the Chicago Bears. Through every season, he believed this could be their year, cheering them on with the same optimism and dedication that defined so much of his life.

Music was one of his greatest passions. His collection was legendary, built over decades of CDs, downloads, and countless hours spent carefully preserving every album and every song. He loved all kinds of music, but rock and punk were always at the top of the list, providing the soundtrack to so many of his favorite memories.

He took pride in his appearance, never letting a hair fall out of place, was rarely seen without his favorite Adidas gear, and proudly wore enough purple to give his friends plenty of material for jokes.

Though he faced struggles in recent years, we find comfort in knowing he is finally at peace. We will remember him not for those difficult days, but for his laughter, his generous heart, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in his memory.
