In Loving Memory of William Young Stanton Jr.April 18, 1958 – July 16, 2025

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, William Young Stanton Jr.passed away peacefully in his sleep at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, at the age of 67, surrounded by family and friends.

Born and raised in Houston, William was the son of William Sr.and Helen Stanton. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Stanton, mother Helen, siblings Gregory, Harold (Carmela), and Marjorie (Kevin), and was preceded in death by his father William Stanton Sr. and brothers Michael and Mark Stanton.

William was married to Barbara Stanton for 41 years, and together they raised four children: Makaio (Peggy), Anya (Albert), Cherece, and William Justin. He was a proud grandfather to Noah, Violet, London, and an eagerly awaited grandson, Alijah.

He served Houston as a Yellow Cab driver for over 35 years, building lasting bonds with countless passengers, especially at a local senior living community. More than anything, William was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, joyfully participating in ministry, Bible study, and spiritual teaching alongside his family.

William was known for his love of clothes, music, dance, basketball, lawn care, and his strong spirit. He cherished his faith, his family, and the opportunity to teach others about Jehovah by word and example.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 13925 ½ Regg Dr., Houston, TX 77045.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who offered prayers, meals, and comfort.
